A Southern California native, Dr. Schneider was born in Orange and grew up in Riverside, California. After high school he moved to New York City to train at the School of American Ballet prior to joining the Pacific Northwest Ballet company in Seattle as a member of the Corps de Ballet. After retiring from professional ballet he completed his undergraduate studies in Biology and Chemistry at Seattle University. Prior to starting his medical studies, Dr. Schneider was a research scientist in the Gene and Cell Therapy Core Laboratory at the University of Washington, where he also obtained his medical degree. Returning to New York in 2014, Dr. Schneider completed a Pediatric residency at New York University and subsequently joined the fellowship program in Pediatric Hematology-Oncology at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles. While training as a sub-specialist at CHLA, having missed the connection to pediatric patient care, he made the decision to pursue General Pediatrics and joined Sea View Pediatrics in March, 2018.
As a Pediatrician, Dr. Schneider enjoys caring for children of all ages and the strong relationships that he is able to cultivate with them and their families. His goal is to help parents to keep their kids healthy and safe, while helping kids grow and develop from newborns into thriving and accomplished young adults. Personally, Dr. Schneider’s interests include the arts, cinema, travel, biking, winter sports, getting reacquainted with the beaches of Southern California, and spending time with friends and family. He currently resides with his partner, and their dog, Bella, in Los Angeles, California.
